Conservation Commission Meeting

The Conservation Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting Wednesday, October 18, 2023. No formal documents have been filed for this meeting. We will discuss the Certificate of Compliance regarding the solar project listed as 0 Somers Rd. The COC was issued to the company by the state. This is listed as Borrego Solar. We will also review two lots that may eventually file with the commission. The lots are located on Scantic Rd. and Hollow Rd. The commission was also notified of a possible wetland violation surrounding a vernal pool on town owned land off Bayberry Rd. This information will also be reviewed.

August 24, 2023 the commission was notified by Rory Walker, ( Glendale Solar ) that they would be filing a Notice of Intent for the proposed solar project. At that time we received an abutters list for the property. That was the last correspondence from Mr. Walker. We intend to keep the public informed as to any updates on this project.
