Overview 

The Hampden Emergency Management Department seeks to maximize survival of persons and preservation of property in the Town of Hampden in the event of a natural or man-made disaster by effective planning and coordinated use of all personnel, equipment, available shelter, and any other resources during an actual emergency.

🌧️ Flood Watch Issued

NWS Boston – Jul 8, 2025: A Flood Watch is in effect for portions of Southern New England where there is the greatest likelihood that thunderstorms may lead to localized flash flooding Tuesday afternoon and Tuesday night, especially over urban areas.

Not everyone will see storms, but any that form may drop 1–2 inches per hour.

⚠️ Heat Advisory Extended

The National Weather Service in Boston has extended the Heat Advisory through 8pm on Tuesday, July 8, that includes most of Massachusetts, except the Berkshires and south coast.
