Overview
The Treasurer's Office is responsible for all of the Town's money. The Office maximizes the best return on investments, negotiates all borrowings (with selectmen approval), and assures there is cash availability for expenditures. Weekly, the office pays the Town's expenditures and processes and distributes the payroll upon approval from the Selectmen. The Office also issues W-2's for employees and 1099's for independent contractors. In addition, the Treasurer's Office maintains Tax Title accounts and prepares various year end reports.
