The mission of the Hampden Fire Department is to protect the lives and property of the people of and visitors to Hampden from fires, natural and man-made disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a professional level of fire suppression and rescue services utilizing a volunteer workforce.
The brothers and sisters of the Hampden Fire Department are bonded by our duty to serve and protect our community with Integrity, Compassion, Bravery and Professional Excellence. Our duty is to save lives, protect property and care for the sick and injured while ensuring the safety and health of one another.
Starting July 15, 2016 all smoke and carbon monoxide detector appointments must be applied for two weeks in advance. Inspections are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
